Mission And Goals

Bunker Hills Academy LLP *, is an independent private school founded in 2003 for the purpose of providing a school open to all families who seek to train children in a well balanced, academically sound environment with small classroom sizes. BHA is a non-denominational community Christian school recognized by the State of Minnesota Department of Education. We also hold membership in the Association of Christian Schools International (A.C.S.I.) which is the largest non-denominational professional education association in America. Our professional staff and state certified teachers are dedicated to the goal of educating each student toward achieving their highest potential in academics, Christian character, emotional maturity, physical development and expression of their God given talents.

Bunker Hills Academy was founded on the belief that parents want options other than the secular schools that are not providing the academic education or the safe environment they want for their children. Private schools and Christian schools are growing at a record rate both statewide and nationally. The last forty years of American Public Education has seen a decline in academic standards. In 1980 an Educational Commission published a study called, "A Nation at Risk". By all accounts test scores, graduation rates, curriculum quality and school standards have been in decline. Surveys have shown that over 50% of public school teachers send their children to private or religious schools. Achievement in school requires a safe, pleasant, orderly climate to learn.

At Bunker Hills Academy we are dedicated to providing a safe and loving climate of learning. We believe it is our responsibility as educators to assist parents in God's mandate to, "train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it". Bunker Hills Academy's administration and faculty are passionate in assisting parents to achieve that goal for their children.

Bunker Hills Academy Programs Inc. is a non-profit corporation which has been established to provide funding for scholarships and educational programs to help achieve the missions and goals of Bunker Hills Academy.
